about

A recent graduate from London College of Communication, Alexandra Porter is a writer and photographer from and currently based in Somerset.

After finishing her practical degree in photography, Alexandra hopes to break into the arts sector and centres her written work around the connection between art, art theories and human behaviour, while her photographic work discusses both family and social dynamics, using texture and photo manipulation to realise these concepts.

Her most recent work ‘Censorship, Socialisation and Social Control: Dissolutionment in the face of Totalitarianism’ touches on the intricacies of surviellance capitalism, censorship and responses to technological advances, acknowledging how contemporary artists have played a significant role in both partaking in these behaviours and moulding our understanding of the world around us and our internal selves.
